Superfood Smoothies for Toddlers

Smoothies are a great way to make sure your toddler is getting plenty of micronutrients, healthy fats and protein into their diet.  

 

Whole milk is the perfect base for toddler smoothies, because it has essential fats and nutrients that are important for growing bodies and brains. 

 

Here are 4 "superfood" smoothies that pack a punch of nutrients that toddlers will love! For all of these recipes, simply toss ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve immediately. 

Berry Chia 

Ingredients: 

1 cup mixed, frozen berries  

1/2 frozen banana 

1/4 avocado

1 tbsp chia seeds 

1 cup Kalona Supernatural Whole Milk 

1/4 cup Kalona Supernatural plain yogurt 

 

 

Orange Creamsicle

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup Kalona Supernatural Whole milk 

1/2 cup orange juice 

1 small (about 1/2 cup) baked sweet potato, cooled

1/4 cup Kalona Supernatural plain yogurt 

1 tbsp flaxseed meal

 

 

Chunky Monkey 

Ingredients: 

1 cup Kalona Supernatural Whole Milk 

1 frozen banana

1 tbsp peanut butter (or other nut butter) 

2 tsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp flaxseed meal 

1 large handful fresh spinach (optional) 

 

 

 

Strawberry Banana Oat

Ingredients: 

1 cup Kalona Supernatural Whole Milk 

1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries 

1 frozen banana 

1/3 cup Kalona Supernatural plain yogurt 

1/4 cup oats

1 tbsp hemp seeds or flaxseed meal
